I’m so excited about your child’s fall portraits set for September 27, 29, & 30.
I wanted to give you an update on our chosen setup: I went with a fall theme again. I went back and forth, but ultimately determined my classic fall backdrop was too popular overall not to use again. This year I’ve found an old cable spool and we are going with a fresh and organic theme. Please see the pictures below. We’ll be using a wood floor, classic fall backdrop, and the props shown (no dogs). I hope you can try to imagine this with the images shown.
Clothing, etc: I’d recommend your child wear NEUTRAL colors. Khaki’s or jeans (or similar colored dresses) would look wonderful. For girls light cream, blue, pink, or purple shirts would look nice, but I’d avoid bright shades of those colors and stick with more neutral colors. I recommend that the colors “up top” be lighter or the same shade as the pants. What you do not want is dark colors “up top” and bright colored pants: this draws the eye away from your child’s face.
Your child may wish to be barefoot: that’s fine. Keep in mind shoes will be shown, unless you want them taken off: just make a note.
I will be using this backdrop and floor. I will NOT be using the mums, pumpkins and gourds as shown:
These are the props I will be using. I might add 1 pumpkin or set of mums: leaning towards the mums at this time, but possibly both! Ideally I’ll have the child sit on the small bale of straw: but I might let some stand if they prefer with a hand on the “spool” table. Do your best to imagine this setup on the backdrop above.
As always I look forward to working with you and your children. Please contact me if you have any questions.
